Curtains diy
In an effort to move forward with decorating this house and create a welcoming feeling I decided that lace curtains was what I had envisioned, especially for the small window by the stairs.
Unfortunately par usual, I couldn't find what I had envisioned.
I checked all the usual suspects... Target, various thrift stores, Etsy, and so forth.
I picture a simple vintage style.
I chose a creamy muslin and found some lace to match.
I measured the windows and doubled the measurements to allow for any necessary gathering and fullness. I purchased 4 yards and hope....to maybe get four windows out of the muslin.
Muslin is great because you can tear it on the grain, press it into place with a hot iron and stitch it together. Easy peasy right? We'll see.
